Uncharted is a podcast run by two people. This site exists to describe the show, take guest pitches, and let you subscribe to a short note after each episode. We collect as little as we can to do those three things.
What we collect
- Guest pitches. Your name, email address, the guest you are suggesting, and whatever you write in the message field.
- Newsletter signups. Your email address and the role you select.
We do not run analytics, advertising trackers, or profiling of any kind on this site, and we set no cookies.
Why we collect it
Pitches are read by the hosts and used to decide who to invite on the show and to reply to you. Newsletter addresses are used to send the follow-up note after each episode, and nothing else. We do not sell, rent, or share your information with anyone for marketing.
Who processes it
- Formspree receives and stores form submissions and forwards them to us by email. Their privacy terms apply to that processing.
- Cloudflare hosts the site and keeps standard server logs, including IP addresses, for security and abuse prevention.
- Google Fonts serves the typefaces on this page, which means your browser requests them from Google and Google sees your IP address.
How long we keep it
Pitches are kept while we are considering them and for a reasonable period afterwards, then deleted. Newsletter addresses are kept until you unsubscribe. Every email we send includes a one-click unsubscribe link.
Your choices
You can ask us what we hold about you, ask for a correction, or ask us to delete it. Write to [email protected] and we will act on it. If you are in the UK, EU, or a US state with a privacy statute, you have those rights by law and we will honour them regardless of where you are.
Guests and recordings
If you appear on the show, we record the conversation and publish it. We agree with each guest in advance what is on the record. Guests can ask for a correction after publication and we will make it.
Children
This site is not intended for anyone under 16 and we do not knowingly collect their information.
Changes
If this policy changes in a way that matters, we will change the date at the top and, for material changes affecting subscribers, say so in the newsletter.
